Creating Tear bends for a box

I have been reviewing how to create a tear bend or very tight bendin Solidworks 2004 SP1.

If anyone has a trick to share with me on getting the correct notch and the bend line in correct location it would be great help. I am creating a box that need very tight corners.

If this topic has been reviewed before, please let me know where to find the information.

1. create your box using a base extrude (not sheet metal)

2. Shell the box to the correct thickness and remove appropriate faces.

3. Click "insert bends" from the sheetmetal tab.

4. adjust settings as required. click the four outside corners of your box(along the sides that is not the bottom of your box) for the insert rip edges.

5. flatten the pattern and you should be good to go.
