SW/CW Materials Database SNAFU?

Hello all:

I am using SW 2006 SP2.0. When I try to create a material in SW, and I have athermal expansion coefficient ALPX< 0.6E-6 /K, SW rounds it to 0. If I set ALPX = 0.6E-6 /K then SW rounds it up to 1E-6 /K. This must be a bug?

I figured a work-around might be editing materials in CW, using the MKS system, and it seemed to work (SI didn't surprisingly). Going back to SW, I could seeALPX was updated to the correct value; HOWEVER, trying to edit the database now causes a fatal error- which seems to revert the database back to its previous values, both in SW and CW.

We've reproduced this error twice, and our VAR claims to not be able to reproduce it.

Any thoughts? Anyone else experience this problem?

Just in case someone runs a search for this problem:

Thework around for Cosmos is to edit the ALPX value, then hit save. The value gets changed. Edit it again, then save again. This time the value should stay put.

I haven't tried in in SW yet.
