Dimensions Under Dimensions?

Wolfe88

New member
I
have a small problem with display of dimensions that I just cant seem
to figure out. I am a relatively new user of Solidworks(2004),
and I dont have any formal training in anything but ProE. Maybe
this is elementary but im having lots of trouble with it. I have
the dimension value as it should be, but then, directly below it I have
what I suppose is the dimension name, so it looks like this:

<________________ 123 _______________>

...........................................D1............. ..........................

Can somebody please help me get rid of the "D1" part (disregard string of dots before and after "D1")? It wasnt
there when I put the dimensions in the drawing, but I ran through some
tutorials and now Im not sure what Ive changed. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Go to Tools, Options, System Options, General. There you will find a check box that says show dimension names. Make sure this box does NOT have a check and the names should disapear from your drawing.

Go to "Tools" menu -> "Options" then, third check box down is "Show dimension names" Make sure that is unchecked...

Thanks so much guys. I cant believe I didnt figure that
out. I thought i had already checked that but I guess I
overlooked it.

Thanks alot
