Unable to run Pro/E 2001 Student in XP pro

I have installed Pro/E Student Ed and I am using XP professional. I have an ethernet card that works, if that makes any difference. I also have a GeForce 4 with the latest drivers. The Pro/E cd is in the cd-rom but when I try to run the program from the start menu, a Pro/E box appears on the task bar for about 5 seconds, then the system speaker beeps before the box disappears. And that's it, no window or anything.



Does anyone know what the problem is?

Have now fixed that problem. Had to modify the proe2001-stu.bat file. However now it gives me two error messages saying it can't find a couple of files, I think they are xtop.exe and nmsd.exe.



Anyone know of this problem and how to fix it.



By the way, my XP is FAT 32, is it essential that it is NTFS?
