Pro/Piping trick

I know there is another method for making "hoses" as flexible components out there, but I decided to throw together a quick screencast of the method I use to create a Pro/Piping hose as a flexible component:

I watched it w/o sound so forgive me if I am asking a dumb question. How do you get the cut length of the tube?

The easiest thing to do is to set the length of the hose in the original model. This way you know the overall length and Pro/E will be able to tell you if you orient the hose in a configuration that it can not do.
