Hi Guys,

I am trying to merge an assembly using the basis of creating an empty part.

Adding this part tothe assembly which i am looking to merge and then merging the two parts together.

Where i am getting stuck is the following it tells me to choose add component from within the assembly menu > advanced utilities > merge, however i can't find this advanced utilities option..... Is there anyone that could help?

What version are you using? Where are you getting the directions from?
Inassembly modethere is Edit>Component Operations>Merge.

What version of Pro/E are you using? I'm using WF3. I believe this also requires the Advanced Assembly Extension.

Assuming you have that and are using a Wildfire version of Pro/E I believe the command you are looking for is located here: Insert> Shared Data> Merge/Inheritance. While in an assembly you need to have the part activated to see this command. It can also be accessed by going: Edit> Component Operations> Merge
