Rendering Transparency

Sorry if this has already been asked. First, I don't have ARX. Is there a way to make light realistically pass through an object with a transparent material applied when using the basic Pro-E renderer? The rendered transparent objects seem to act opaque as far as light is concerned.

You have to adjust the refraction in the advanced tab of your applied color. It is really difficult to get a realistic transparent material with the basic renderer but not impossible.
