Color and Rendering

Hi,

Not too sure where to post this. I have made an electronic toothbrush similar to the one in the link given.

http://www.shavercentre.com/canada/oralb_8850.html
http://au.dentalcare.com/soap/products/index.htm

I want to color it similar to that. I am not too sure how to color stuff in Pro E. I tried and the only thing i managed to do is color the whole part one color. I did the base the top as different parts and assembled them. I want to know if there is a way to color each component separately. Like i have the text (charge) I have hole and some grips at the bottom and design similar to the one in picture. Also after i do that. What's all this rendering stuff? How to use this render tool i had a look at the options and it had environment setting, scene etc. How can i go about rendering mine so it looks similar to that.

This is a project so i have been advised not to post the parts up so if anyone wants to really see i can email them

Thanks

Depending on how yo created your parts, you can select seperate surfaces to apply colour to. When you are entering the Appearence editor, there is a drop down menu for Part, Surfaces, etc. Select the surfaces you need then apply the colours.

email the parts to [email protected] and I can take a look at if for you next week if all else fails.
