Merge two harnesses into one

I'm extremely new to Pro/Cabling (I'm currently finishing up the training modules on PTCU) and I need a little advice/help. We have an engine harness and a vehicle chassis harness that are currently two separate harnesses. We are trying to cost reduce this harness so we have decided to merge the two harnesses into one (eliminates an expensive barrel connector). What I need to know is if there is an easy way to merge the two harnesses or if anyone knows any tricks to speed up this process.

you should just merge the cables in RSD and autoroute again. done

Plus it puts the burden on the electrical engineers.
