New part, datum isn’t visible

diggg

New member
I've just started training with ProE and am having issues with creating new parts. Whenever I create a part with the default template there are no visible planes. I've tried pressing the show datum box, and made sure that planes were selected to be visible, however, nothing I do allows me to accomplish what I'm trying to do. Any idea why?

first - do You have them(datums) in model tree(features)

if Yes - check if they are not hidden(greyed icon), or maybe they are hiiden by layer(but I doubt it)

if No - create coordinate system(it will be done automaticaly untill there is no geom in part), then click on the icon of datum plane. # datum planes will be created.

Rename them apprapriate to your needs(i.e XY, XZ, YZ). Create 3 axes - X, Y, Z.

Save it.

Create folder with templates. Set path in options to your template folder.

With this each time You create new part it will contain these features.

good luck
