cabling problems

Hey guys,

I am working on learning how to use pro cable. I create the harness, create the spool, then do feature create wire. I already have the coordinate systems made in the connector parts with the z axis pointing outwards. I designate the connectors with the entry points. When I go to route the cables I choose it from the edit-find list and then ok that, then all my parts turn black and I can't choose any entry points?? Any help is would be greatly appreciated, I know its something stupid.

Thanks,

Pete

hi pete,

i do pro-cabling a lot in my work, and i dint find that kind of problem anytime.
but i can say that may be the way you designated the connectors was wrong i guess.

thanks.

Found the problem. It is a setting in pro/e and it was set to only let me reference the skeleton in the assembly. Tools-Assembly Settings-Reference control.
