opening file with new parameters

backoffice

New member
hi,
i have mad a start_part containing 4 parameters and set this template with "template_solidpart" config option.
after that, i hace created another start_part witch contains 8 parameters and set this template as default start_part.

i'm asking for that:
when i open an old model with the new start_part (8 parameters) the model is generated with the old start_part (4 parameters).

is there a way that this old model become opened with the new template (8 parameters)?

A template is read when the part is created, about equivalent to
opening the template and renaming "in session". There is no link
to the template maintained (as there is with a drawing format).
You will have to add the additional four parameters to parts made
using the old template.

To add additional 4 parameters you are missing in the new part, you can write relations as the following:
parameter1 = " "
parameter2 = " "
parameter3 = " "
parameter4 = " "

or assign them a number if you want for the parameters to be other data type.

Then verify relations, so Pro/E can add the parameters to the Parameter section and delete previously written relations for the parameters.
