Replace using reference model

I have been using pro/e for about two year now and the occasion to use edit, repalce by reference model hasn't come up. I've tried to look in past forums, help, course books,etc, but haven't found anything. Has anyone ever used this before.


I don't really need to use this command, but I would really like to know how. Thank is advance.

I was trying to find out something about "replace by reference model" but couldn't find any material. Does anyone has a clue?

The replace by ref model works with a shrink wrap, Inheritance, and merge features. That is all i know. I found it pretty useless for me. You can always use a layout replace or create a mapkey

Actually I've found out thatthe "replace by unrelated component" is what I was looking for.
