Dear all..

i would like to know about slider advisor (such as dellcam), is there in pro/E?? by this advisor, the software will tell us how the slider is, pull direction, the angle direction, etc

and anybody can tell me advantage pro/E pro mold compare to UG

thanks

As I konw that Proe haven't this function(slider advisor).

I think Proe is better UG when tooling design and product design, but UG is better than Proe when you making NC program to machine. Just my personal idear.

Hi

There is an option in Pro Engineer to detect under cut boundries in Pro Engineer modle, Automatically, In wildfire 2 , you have option to create automatically sliders, or add them through modeling tools into your model. In wildfie three this option is moved into top insert option, once you select the slider option.

By the way in Pro Engineer, Sliders are termed as cavity inserts

As far as working in multiple softwares for tool design and cam , you always loose information. One should do every thing in one software. Can be UG or Pro E.
