color in family table

hello everyone,

I have a doubt in family tables. Iwant to assign color as a parameter while defining family table so that I can give different color to instances. what is the procedure for doing this?

Not possible,
Maybe in WF4, read something a while ago that made me think it might be possible then.

It is possible

but i dont know the exact procedure, but it can be done as i have seen one of my friend doing it. I will just check it out and back after some time.

Create a surface offset of the part & colour it as you want, then add the feature to the family table & turn it off/on as required (you may find that renaming the feature to the colour will help).

robertibs way is the only way to go. You may use copy of solid surfaces instead if offset will cause problems. Change the solid to 100% transperancy to avoid to "zebra effects"
