chain mechanism

I made a chain and I connected all the likns thorugh pin connection with each other and made slot follower connection to a curve on which the chain has to move. But the problem is it takes lots of time to move or to simulate becuz of these so many connections. Sinplified presentations are also not helping to minimize this problem.
