Microsoft Laser Mouse probs

I just purchased a Microsoft wireless keyboard/laser mouse (model 5000) combo and can't get the middle mouse button configured properly for spinning the model. Does anyone else use this mouse successfully? Any config tips for me? Other than that, I love it! TIA
