What are the advantages/disadvantages of using merge by reference; same model; or inherited? Should I use one or the other in specific situations? I have been only using merge by reference butthis was for very simple molds.
Merge by reference model make a new reference part of your part. You can make changes on it (such as add draft, modification for manufacturing aspects) it is not effected in your original part.
Merge by model takes the original part, and whatever modification you have done it is directly effected on your part.
