Choose the curve as your origin. Once in sketch mode draw a line at an angle. Dimension the length of the line, not in x-y coordinates and a angle. Put in a relation controlling the angleusing trajpar (i.e. sdx=trajpar*360*#turns). Once this surface has been created insert a second variable sweep using the edge of the surface you just created as the origin.
