large time to pull up

VSCID

New member
Hi,

I frequently work on large assemblies, however it takes unusually large time to pull them up. (30min-1 hour) I use 2001.My ram i 1g and processor is 2.2.

What could be the problem?

Try increasing room temperature about 25 deg F and give ita few hours to heat soak while you work and then Save. If that doesn't help you'll have to be a little more descriptive.

anyway you could use simp rep to reduce your large assm, and open only parts and subasm that you really need, and not whole mater rep.

Are you using Intralink ??

If you set the pro_group_dir somewhere on the commonspace, your assembly might open 10 times slower than normal.

We open assembly near the limit (1.5 gig) faster than 1 hour.

Try with a blank config.pro

Good Luck
