hi all,


when i locate the reference part


" feature aborted, Geometry was overlapping "


the part file exported from catia 5 file, anyone can help in rectifying this problem ?

u need to fix the IGES file before insert it as reference part.

open the iges file in proE, right click the import feature (in model tree) > edit definition

you will see a new menu 'Geometry' appears on the top

the tools under it is for you to do the iges fixing

hi proe


it is very big iges files 25 Gb difficult for fixing any other option to correct it or reduce the size.

25 GB???. are you using a super computer??.I have never worked on such a large file . I wonder if proe is capable of taking such a large file.


Good Luck. I think you need it when you are working on such a large file

.

huh!! 25MB or 25GB??

can windows handle 25GB file?

I though windows 32bit can only handle maximum 4GB single file..

i am using surface to make all the split, mold design method very difficult and


time consuming this case

25MB IGES file is quite common. I used to work with iges file around 50MB.

IGES fixing is not too difficult but time consuming
