Need help unbending part.

I need some help unbending a part. It is a surface part made into a
solid and then converted to sheetmetal. It is a arm pad that I need to
convert into a flat pattern in order to detail flat pattern in drawing.
I have attached the part for whoever would like to flaten part and
explain to me how it was done. I do not work in sheetmetal much.

Thank you.

I would suggest that instead of trying to convert this part, you simply recreate it in sheetmetal. Startwith anextruded wallusingthe profile of the bent piece. Then unbend all. Then create a cut on the flat piece to create the rounded side. Then you can add an Unbend all, to see what the bent geometry is like. Finally, add a flat pattern, which you will use as the view for your drawing and detailing.

Hope this helps.

The part fails to convert to a sheetmetal part in WF2 M220. As simple as the design is, take some measurements and model a true sheetmetal part.

Ecosse thanks for the reply

The first surface of this part is copied from the arm rest it's self.
So I really can't recreate it in sheetmetal without just converting the
part to sheetmetal. the top bent part has a compound angle which I
think is where it is giving me fits. The bottom or horizontal
feature is flat with the side wall having a taper and draft. Still any
help would be great.

Thanks Again,

Looslib,

In order for me to make it convert to sheetmetal I just used a copy of
the 3 bottom surfaces and created a wall offset using the quilt.

Thanks Again

Thank you Darek,

I don't have WF 3.0. I'am still working on 2000i, but I have remade the
part in sheetmetal and that seems to work fine. Thank you for your time.
