Go to Tools > Family Table, create your columns, and then choose File > Edit Excel. Cut and paste as necessary from your existing Excel spreadsheet, then File > Update Pro E, exit Excel, and your work is in your model.
What I mean is use an EXISTING file, without having to crreate a new file, then cut an paste from one workbook into the one Pro/E referes to. Cuting and Pasting decentralizes data that maybe contributed to by vendors or tooling suppliers. It would be nice to open a workbook, select a column and have that added to family table without starting a new workbook of cut and paste info. Ofcourse there is a file dance that can be done to accomplish this, but still it would be nice.
