I'm a software engineer (graduated 2 years ago with BS in Computer Engineering ). I'm extremely interested in going away from the purely JAVA coding I'm doing now and getting into more of a hardware field, specifically with a home automation company. I haven't done microprocessor programming (C and Assembly with x86 and PIC controllers since school ). Does anyone know any good books/sites/forums etc. I could check out to help me start getting information about home automation and what I need to learn to get into that field? Does anyone know of any good companies to talk to? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not sure exactly where to start. Thanks a lot.
