Flip Flange in Family Table

Rajesh

New member
I have a sheetmetal part with a flange. I have to create a few instances with the flange flipped.
I can create a flange and then suppress it. Create another flange in the opposite direction. Use both of these features in the Family Table with one of the flange feature suppressed. Is there a better method?

Thanks,
Rajesh S

When creating the flipped instance in the family table, do not select the flange as a feature, rather select the dimension that defines the angle of the flange. Then in one instance, you could set the flange at, say 90 degrees, then for the next instance flip it the opposite way by defining it as 270 degrees.

Thank you very much. There is a variation in the dimension of the first wall(as this is the Flange 1) by thickness value when given 270 degrees. Can overcome by changing the dimension of the first wall.

Thanks.
