Mapkeys get saved into config.pro.

Therecan be 3 config.pro fles on your system. assuming Windows, 1) <proe_loadpoint>\text - do not save your personal mapkeys here; 2) $home - good place for your mapkeys; 3) StartIn folder - second good place for your mapkeys.

When you have recorded the mapkey you get the option to SAVE - ALL or CHANGED (in the mapkey dialogue box)

By default it will save to working directory\config.pro - if you have a config.pro file that is normally read on start up you can select that from the pull down menu - the mapkey will then load next time you start up pro.

If you use the mapkey a lot then it is worth making a new button and adding it to the menu bar along the top/side of the screen.Right click on top menu bar - commands - scroll down to mapkeys - change the button image to whatever you want - drag the button onto a menu. Save the config.win file to the same place as config.pro so the button appears next time you load Pro.
