I have searched all over the place, but I am thinking maybe this is not possible.
I know how to swap external sketches in extrusions using WF2. You
"Edit Definition" of the extrusion and select another external sketch
and the extrusion updates to the selected external sketch.
I would like to do this in a relation.
For instance, when assembling a part, one can use an interchange
assembly and then simply set the part name to a string variable (ie -
my_var = "partname.prt"). One can then change the program from
add part partname.prt
to
add component (my_var)
IS THERE A WAY TO DO SOMETHING SIMILAR WITH EXTERNAL SKETCHES?????
This would be a Godsend if I could, as I need to make varying profiles of an extrusion and need to do it programmatically.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
