Cant get proe 2001 to run on my laptop

Im trying to run it on my fujitsu siemens amilo D, i have a radeon 9600 124ram


proe doesnt start up, i see de racecar but after that nothing,


std.out says: Failed to initialize communications. Some features are disabled.
Exception - code was -1073741819.


my OS is windows xp home edition.


anyone have any ideas on how to get proe to work on my laptop?

Try a complete uninstall, then re-install..I know it sounds tedious, but your original installation may have been corrupted.


Make sure your antivirus is disabled when installing.

Is the network card initialized? Some laptops turn off the network card if nothing is attached or running on battery?

Is the drive NTFS formatted? Don't know if Pro/E requires but other CAD packages do.


Check your config.pro and set graphics to wind_gdi32 or something like that. The 9600 is not a supportted card.
